Specialized Therapy for Transformative Healing

In my style of counseling, I approach each client as unique. Each one of us has specific issues, needs and wants. One size doesn’t fit all. I put care and effort to tailor the therapeutic relationship unique to each individual and strive to give my client an experience of a relationship where they feel heard and understood. I understand the profound impact that our relationships have on our ability to navigate life’s challenges. This includes our relationships with family, friends, significant others, colleagues, and most importantly, our relationship with ourselves. Our therapeutic relationship helps to strengthen and sustain these relationships, enhancing their flexibility and resilience in the face of life’s transitions.

Compassion and Non-Judgmental Care

My style of therapy is compassionate and without judgment. I pay special attention to building a deeper relationship with my clients so that they feel safe and connected in a non threatening and non-invasive environment. The healing and recovery process can be challenging, and I prioritize creating a safe and consistent environment tailored to each individual’s needs. I am deeply in tune with my clients and help them find their way through their difficult journey of transformation.

My Approach to Healing and Transformation

My approach to therapy is rooted in my belief of the interconnectedness of mind, body and spirit. Issues, trauma and stress have a deep impact on our overall being which could shake our faith and confidence to deal with the rigors of life. By embracing this mind-body-spirit connection, I help you to foster faith in yourself, faith in others and faith in the universe.

Diverse Counseling Experience

My journey in the field of counseling has encompassed a variety of environments, allowing me to gain extensive experience:

  • Private Practice: In my private practice, I have worked with individuals, teenagers, couples, and families, addressing a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, deep childhood traumas, codependency, dysfunctional relationships, communication difficulties, work related stress and self-esteem challenges.
  • Suicide and Crisis Services: I was a volunteer with Santa Clara Suicide Hotline, helping individuals with suicidal ideations, deep depression, and anxieties. I worked with individuals struggling with conditions like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, and addiction.
  • Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC): I worked with individuals, adults, children, teenagers, and parents, providing support and guidance to diverse client groups in Mountain View, California.
  • Los Altos High School, Los Altos California: I served as an on-site counselor for teenagers, helping them navigate the unique challenges of adolescence.

From Business to Healing

During the early years of my career, my focus was on the business world. However, I soon realized that my true passion lay in helping people navigate the complexities of the human experience. I became fascinated by the intricacies of relationships, life satisfaction, and the ability to overcome life’s challenges with grace and confidence. Following my growing interest, I embarked on a journey to psychotherapy, directly working with clients in their internal struggles.

Tech Industry Experience

As a senior Human Resources professional in companies such as Cisco Systems, Google and Ebay in Silicon Valley, I have extensive experience in supporting executives and individual contributors who grapple with the intense stressors unique to this fast-paced environment. My experience has provided me with valuable insights into the pressures and demands faced by individuals in the tech industry, especially those in the San Diego to San Francisco Bay Area corridor.

I understand the high-stress nature of these roles and the toll it can take on one’s mental and emotional well-being. One aspect of my practice is dedicated to helping individuals find balance, manage stress, and navigate the challenges of working in such demanding environments.

Education Background

I am a Licensed Psychotherapist (LMFT). I have an MS in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. I also hold an MBA from the University of Minnesota, as well as an MA in Human Resources from University of South Carolina. My diverse educational background compliments my clinical experience, enabling me to provide comprehensive and effective therapy to my clients.

Transforming Pain/Fear into Connection

With my extensive experience, I have developed the skills and intuition needed to provide support, guidance, and clarity in processing and transforming sadness, loneliness, anxiety and despair into meaningful connections with the world within and around us.
